Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Expect a 1, 2 punch from Mother Nature

Here's your Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast from 3News Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz: Temperatures fall back near 60° this evening. Cold front #1 of the next 48 hours brings scattered wet weather too. Prep the rain gear if you have plans to run errands following work today...and keep it around for tomorrow. Rain lingers through early Friday morning. Pack the patience as you head out the door. Temperatures tomorrow will be on the seasonal side in the upper-60s/near 70°. After the early morning rain exits, we'll likely have a mainly dry window. During this time, a few showers can't be ruled out...but sunshine is also likely to make an appearance. Does it last forever, nope. We get front #2 to arrive later tomorrow which bring additional rain chances with it and much cooler air. This one is a reinforcer that the weekend will be a cool one. Highs will go from near normal Friday to below normal for the weekend and early next week. If you have weekend plans, you may consider having an indoor option handy. We'll have rain around at times...but some sunshine is a possibility too. The weekend's weather driver is going to be the lake thanks to our wind shift. We'll have lake effect showers around. So, some of you will see more rain than others. Did I mention the weekend as a whole will be breezy too? You already know it's going to be cool and damp...but a friendly reminder, this wind direction usually leads to issues on the waterways. The middle of the week looks a little brighter before our next system pivots into place by the end of next week.
