Baking 8 materials into one Material - Game Asset Optimization

🎮 Welcome back to RayznGames! In this video, I'll show you how you can optimize an asset and shade it the way you want by using multiple materials, or procedural masks. that once baked can have the same looks but using only one material and the baked textures! This is useful to reduce the amount of Draw Calls created per material and object and is actively used in the industry to optimize assets, and bring them to a production ready stage. which involves usually extra steps to lay these objects along others in a bigger texture atlas or per module. this helps reduce even further the calls by enabling batching between similar objects if they share the same material properties and textures. This is probably an extreme example but reducing this object Draw Calls by 7 is quite an achievement in terms of rendering the object with more complex shaders. 🔹 Key Highlights: Optimize Assets Streamlined and simplified workflow.
