Cleveland weather: Temps near 70 on Thursday but severe storms late evening

Attention then turns to our severe threat tomorrow. Much of the day looks quiet with some passing rain from time to time. A more organized line of storms looks to develop and blow through all of northern Ohio late tomorrow evening into the night. The main threat from this line of storms will be heavy rain and hail. There will also be a damaging-wind risk and we can't rule out an isolated tornado or two. This looks to be a one-and-done setup where the initial line of storms should contain the severe threat with heavy rain and a limited severe threat once that initial line of storms moves through. Temps will also be rather cold when these storms arrive--much like last Sunday. The rain and storms will slowly push south throughout the early morning hours Friday. The heavy rain will also be an issue with upwards of 1-2 inches of rain possible. These storms will likely make slow progression south--so the heavy rain will last longer than usual. We could have some localized flood issues late Thursday into the early morning hours Friday. Colder air and a few leftover snowflakes are possible Friday morning before we dry out and begin to warm back up into the weekend. Here is your Cleveland weather forecast: THURSDAY: Warm and breezy with scattered rain. A line of strong to severe storms late evening. Near 70. FRIDAY: Clouds to some sunshine. Much colder with highs in the 30s. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/... At 3News, we’re here to share your voice and tell your story.
