Fireworks danger due to drought

Washington County Fire officials warn of Fireworks dangers during extreme drought ST. GEORGE, Utah ( 6/4/2021) - With extreme drought conditions statewide in Utah, fire officials are warning citizens early about the dangers of fireworks during celebrations. The damage they can cause is costly to both the environment and the person who causes the fire. Not only are resources to fight fires limited during multiple fire starts, but firefighters also face danger trying to put them out. And, those who start the fires, will be held accountable.
