This is a 1946 Canadian Brill Trolley Bus. Manufactured by Canadian Car and Foundry in 1946, this bus was a trolley bus. The difference between this and a regular bus is that it ran off of suspended wires making it a 100% electric bus. This trolley bus was very similar to how a traditional trolley / streetcar would be on rails however the trolley bus would require two overhead lines to ground the electrical current since it does not ride on rails. Although this bus is sitting on US soil, it was part of the Calgary fleet before it retired. This bus now sits in the same graveyard as the Trolleys I recently posted. No clue on the plans for it but it doesn't look like it going anywhere anytime soon. Enjoy and Video to follow.
