SSI, SSDI, Social Security, VA, RRB, SSA, Direct Express ***Sorry, I never answered the question about Child Support in the video... so I will here. If you owe back child support, your stimulus payment could be reduced by the amount you owe in back child support. This stimulus update will be specifically for those on SSI, SSDI, Social Security, VA (C&P), RRB, and SSA. The IRS came out yesterday and said that 130 million people have received their stimulus checks. That's great for those that have but what about the other 20 million people that haven't? "Have they forgotten about me?" "Will I even get a stimulus payment?" The questions I will try to answer in this video are: 1: Why are Social Security, SSDI, survivors benefits, SSI, RRB, and VA (C&P) people receiving their checks last? 2. If I have a payee assigned for my benefits will I still receive a stimulus payment? Answer: YES 3. Do I need to do anything to receive my stimulus payment? 4. How will I receive my payment? 5. When will SSDI recipients receive their payments? 6. Will the IRS contact me about my payment? (Beware of scams) 7. When will SSI, VA, and railroad beneficiaries receive their stimulus payments? Answer: The latest from the IRS is that SSI and VA recipients should receive their payments in mid-May. 8. Will I receive notification of payment? Answer: Only by a letter in the mail. 9. I owe back child support, will this affect my stimulus payment? Yes. The CARES act specified that past-due child support could be deducted from your stimulus payment, even the entire stimulus amount if you owe that much in back child support. 10. When will SSA / Railroad Retirees receive their stimulus check? Recipients of Social Security retirement, survivors or disability insurance benefits, SSDI, and RRB automatic stimulus payments began arriving last week. Unfortunately based on the comments on my previous video, many people on SSDI still haven't seen their payments. Many on SSDI have received their money while many others haven't. I'm hoping that is resolved very soon. 11. I'm claimed as a dependent on someone else's taxes, will I get a stimulus payment? Answer: No, you may not be claimed on someone else's taxes to receive a stimulus payment. 12. I claim an adult dependent (such as a parent or other adult) on my taxes will they receive a stimulus payment? No, they will not receive a stimulus payment since they are claimed by you. 13. Will I receive a Stimulus payment? If you make less than $75,000 per year as an individual and $150,000 as a couple and nobody claims you as their dependent, you will receive the full $1200 14. Why is it taking so long to get my payment? There have been 130 million payments sent out so far, but there are still 20 million payments still to be sent out. Unfortunately the IRS has not had a smooth roll-out of payments for millions of people. My hope is that many of you will start receiving your check very soon. If you want to see when your paper checks will be mailed, watch my previous video where I show the entire schedule for paper check mailings. Those are done starting with lowest income first moving up to the highest income levels that receive stimulus payments. Paper Check Mailing Schedule: • Stimulus Update | SSI, SSDI, SOCIAL SECURI... Let me know in the comments if you have any additional questions. I try to answer any questions in the comments section, but I may not get to them all. I do appreciate you watching and commenting it makes me feel like the time I spend researching this topic is worthwhile. And if you do appreciate the information, please like this video.
