Bob Corker: VW will build new SUV in Chattanooga if workers vote against union

Senator Bob Corker says he believes Volkswagen will add a second vehicle line and hire hundreds more workers in Chattanooga if employees vote against the United Auto Workers. Based on conversations he had Wednesday, Corker claims that if the union is voted down, in a few weeks Volkswagen will announce it's decision to build a new SUV here. Corker says he speaks regularly with Volkswagen managers and that a union would make it more expensive to build the sports utility vehicle in Chattanooga. But UAW officials dispute that claim. And Volkswagen maintains that the vote will not influence where the company builds its next SUV.
