This session of the Patient Symposium occured June 16, 2012, 8:30-9:15am. Dr. Richard Pestell, MD, PhD, Director of the Kimmel Cancer Center, Timothy Turnham, PhD, Executive Director of Melanoma Research Foundation, and Dr. Sara Selig, MD, Director, CURE OM, provide a welcome and overview of MRF and CURE OM programs. Dr. Scott Woodman, MD, from the MD Anderson Cancer Center, presents highlights from the CURE OM Scientific Meeting. Ocular Melanoma, or melanoma of the eye, is the most common primary eye tumor in adults. CURE OM's mission is to support research and accelerate the development of effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for ocular melanoma.
