If you save your game outside in Lumiose City, your game can crash and your save file may even become corrupted. Users have taken to Reddit to look for solutions, with one discovering that if you mash your home button the bug has the potential to correct itself. Nintendo has acknowledged the bug. On the official Japanese site for the company, they've apologized for the problem and promised a fix is on its way. They also showed this map where the bug can occur, anywhere outside a building within the blue highlighted region. Just make sure to not save your game in this area and you should be good to go. Nintendo has said the incoming patch should fix your broken game saves.
