Prime Minister Modi to introduce National Health Digital Mission soon in India

Due to the current pandemic that has engulfed the lives and economy alike, a sense of relief waits for the citizens. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to announce the National Digital Health Mission in India on August 15th, 2020. Amidst the pandemic, the Independence Day will see PM Modi stressing on health more. The National Digital Health Mission is targeted to cover the entire population and is expected to be a game changer. The enrolment will be voluntary and whosoever will be a part of it will be given digital health Ids. The digital record will contain all the past records of the patient and the patient can then choose to go to any hospital. The finance ministry has approved a budget of around 500 crore for this policy.
