In this vlog, I share the BTS of ending Stims and the egg retrieval surgery including my recovery process. These are things I wish I had known before I started the process as a working mom! Coordinating the surgery date with my own job was a challenge. This is a drop everything and go type of surgery. The date is unknown until 3 days prior so plan accordingly. I also discuss how many embryos matured and reveal the results of the genetic testing, including the gender of the healthy embryos. For reference, I’m a 38-year-old dentist dealing with secondary infertility, possibly due to an autoimmune condition. I have a 4-year-old toddler and experienced the loss of my second baby at 21 weeks gestation. After trying for over a year, we decided to move forward with IVF. This vlog is an honest look at the process, timeline, cost, and what I’ve learned along the way. I'll be vlogging my transfer process as well.
