This is the biggest meme in the game, unfortunately. Please do not agonize over getting No Damage, about 30% of your deaths will be to stuff completely out of your control. If you're really struggling with it, remember you can get the Once More medal from Frozen Slider, since your stats aren't relevant. -CHARACTER SETUP- Keyblades: Happy Gear (+9), Ever After (+8) Accessories: Orichalcum Ring, Orichalcum Ring, Fire Cufflink Cuisine: Ratatouille+, Carrot Potage+, Seafood Tartare+, Beef Bourguignon+, Warm Banana Soufflé+ (Full Course Bonus: Hearty Meal) The Fire Cufflink increases the damage of the Torpedoes you can fire at the boss, since they're a Fire-element attack. Otherwise, since they patched the damage floor here you're not able to really do much more damage than you're doing, at LV1 at least. -FIGHT STRATEGY- The main element of RNG are the Vaporflies that surround Sora's position, since they can throw bombs or just shoot at him from off-screen. Basically everything else is consistent and mostly within your control. The most important note about this fight is that Aerial Dodge will *only* give you guard/parry frames when dodging sideways. Forward Aerial Dodges will speed you up significantly which can help your positioning but don't expect invincibility. If you are ever hit, focus on hitting the singlet Vaporflies that spawn in front of you, since they drop many HP orbs; it's not hard to always be at full HP if you just do that. The Rainbow Squad™ (the 5 Vaporflies with colored trails) spawn on what seems to be a loose timer, although I'm not completely certain. You can Aerial Dodge forward through the center of their formation, or aim your Vaporfly directly downwards to narrowly avoid them (really neat interaction). I don't recommend side dodges, since the Vaporfly on the opposite side can come back around and hit you because of the increased space. In terms of Vulture's attacks towards Sora, he always starts by doing a spin attack that spawns a bunch of bombs. A well-timed side dodge will keep you safe. After this spin attack, Vulture will run away, then turn around and either spit fire or shoot out homing white projectiles. I'm pretty sure you can just position yourself away for the most part on the fire breath but the white projectiles should be side dodged a few times in a row. The main source of damage for the fight depends on how safe you want to play. Using Torpedoes is faster but you can't cancel the animation with a dodge, so it's much less safe unless you know what you're doing. If you're looking to just get it done, simply using Burst Shot will be alright. I could go on for a while on how Vulture's AI works but it's not super worth it since like I said, it's a meme fight. Just note that one way to determine whether he's being passive (and therefore safe to attack fully) or aggressive is to check the information bar (or pause menu). If it says 'The Black Pearl is under attack!', then Vulture is being passive and focusing the Pearl. If not, then he's focusing you and you should see him spin attacking shortly. In conclusion, this boss would've actually been entertaining had they remixed Ruler of the Sky's theme. It's unfortunate they didn't.
