Everyone present at Lubang Buaya held their breath as the bodies were pulled from the old well one by one. The bodies had begun to rot due to being buried in the watery ground for three days. The bodies of Lieutenant General Achmad Yani, Major General Mas Tirtodarmo Harjono, Major General Siswondo Parman, Major General Suprapto, Brigadier General Donald Isaac Pandjaitan, Brigadier General Sutojo Siswomihardjo, and First Lieutenant Pierre Tendean were successfully recovered thanks to the hard work of the Indonesian Navy's Amphibious Reconnaissance Force on October 4, 1965.
