[NEW HARDEST] Supersonic (Insane Demon) - ZenthicAlpha & more | Geometry Dash 2.2

Honestly speaking, it's hard to formulate what words I want to say right now, but I will try. It's been quite the adventure beating this, having picked up this level and dropped it several times in the past couple years. The prospect of wanting to beat an Insane Demon was pretty alluring, especially when considering that, in retrospect, I am not a very good player. I don't beat a lot of Hard Demons, and I have never beaten an Insane Demon. However, I wanted that feeling of accomplishment. A while back, I randomly picked up Forsaken Neon after previously having a progress of 73 or 74% several years ago (during the ginal days of 2.0) and within two days I beat it, fluking the final ball and ship parts somehow and thus having a new hardest level, even though it didn't feel like it. The idea of Forsaken Neon being my new hardest over Nine Circles felt odd because of how casually I went through it, but it did also give me some newfound confidence to beat more demons from the Hard Demon difficulty and potentially an Insane. So, I picked up Supersonic, and had some good runs during a stream I did. A level that once felt impossible for me to make any progress on, suddenly became something I started to get better and better at, to the point during one of my first supersonic-dedicated streams I died at 96%. Sometime later I would beat Jawbreaker out of nowhere, which was also another level giving me massive amounts of difficulty, before returning to Supersonic again after a day off from work. And, as of today, I finally beat it, spending nearly 5200 attempts on the level with an additional 1000 probably going to lost copyables that I deleted ages ago. Now about this level. I cannot say I enjoyed the gameplay at all. It was difficult to get consistent in just about any part, and the difficulty of each part fluctuated significantly. The second half of the level played much more fluidly than the egregious first half of the level, split into two by what is probably one of the worst transitions I have ever played in a level in Ggboy's part (or Gboy, whatever he goes by ingame now). The amount of times I have died to that transition is perhaps not as much as the times I died to the drop's ship section, but it was enough to infuriate me to no end. I know my feedback is a bit cruel, but Supersonic is a frame one example of why it's important to have proper playtesting to iron out major inconsistencies in gameplay, which unfortunately didn't display here. Then again, the level is quite old, so a lot of people were still getting used to creating gameplay of higher difficulties, heck I don't think "fun gameplay" was even an emphasized concept until TamaN showed his face in 2.0 and made some of the most iconic levels in the game. Whatever the case, it's been a grind to get this level done, and while I didn't enjoy the gameplay overall, I did have fun grinding it through the past couple weeks. I know it's viewed as a starter Insane Demon, but it's an Insane Demon nonetheless, and I'm happy to habe beaten it. Next stop: Sleepless by ChaSe! :3c
