Surface temperatures could push to near 90 for some areas as a strong southwesterly flow moves eastward and north into the Ohio River valley. This could easily feel like the warmest day of the year thus far for many. May we remind you all that sunscreen is a must as well as limited outdoor exposure in the event of heat exhaustion. The theme of our weather story begins with heat on sunny and then quickly transitions to the threat for strong to severe storms into the evening. A pop of storms are likely in the early afternoon, but the high impact weather arrives near and just after dinner time.
