After a mammoth weekend of trimming, cropping, cutting and mounting work ready for the upcoming Art & Yoga event, I had only intended going into the studio to have a tidy up...but... It felt ages since I had created - only last week, but go with it - so I decided to just play around with the Art Graf Tailor's chalk and some ink... I was channelling the reeds and the river, along with the fenlands... trying to get energy into the mark making... Out of the twelve small squares, one was a complete disaster; I quite liked four - the ones where I hadn't overly 'fiddled', what a surprise - not!! I think I should make signs of the phrases; 'intuitive - don't overthink', 'stop fiddling' & 'less is more' - and stick in a prominent position in front of me!! I used: Art Graf Tailors Chalk black pigment block Daler Rowney FW Sepia Acrylic Ink Winsor & Newton Granulation fluid Pencil Copper watercolour pencil 220gsm Seawhite of Brighton cartridge paper Jacksons own brand small dagger brush For details about me & my work, please visit my website: https://www.carolynjrobertsartist.co.uk Sign up to receive my Substack emails/posts: https://carolynjrobertsartist.substac...
