⬇⬇ MORE INFO & LINKS BELOW ⬇⬇ Here's a quick sped up video of me doing my warm-up exercise today. I thought of recording the process after I had already put down gesso and made some marks with a pencil. No music, so crank up your own! In this video I am using a 9"x6" sketch book. I have heard that there are sketch books this size with watercolor paper. Probably a better option since these pages are thin, but it didn't soak through to the other side because I put down a layer of gesso first. I'm Betty Franks Krause and I create my vision of abstract fields of flowers using acrylic paints and pencils (and other mark making tools). I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel a couple of times a year to Preko, Croatia (where my parents live). I started painting in 2012 and focused on abstract art in the summer of 2015.
