The Rohingya Crisis: Causes and Consequences (Findings of Prof Mushfiq Mobarak, Yale University)

Youth Policy Forum (YPF) has inaugurated its year-long Rohingya Advocacy program with a dialogue titled "The Rohingya Crisis: Shared Global Responsibility" with a panel consisting of - 1. Stephen Kinnock, MP, House of Commons, UK 2. Professor Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak, Yale University 3. Barrister Shah Ali Farhad, Special Assistant to the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh 4. Steven Corliss, Representative of the UNHCR Bangladesh At the very beginning of the webinar, Professor Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak presented the findings of a research done by his team consisting of himself, C. Austin Davis, Paula López-Peña and Jaya Wen. The findings are on the causes and consequences of the genocide on Rohingya. They have discovered some fascinating correlations between the crisis and several economic factors.
