Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Storms roll in Thursday

Your 11 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Aug. 16, 2023: Our next round of rain and storms will be on the way for our Thursday as a cold front swings in from the northwest. We'll start with lots of sunshine and watch as clouds begin to increase heading into the afternoon. A stout line of showers and storms are expected to be on radar to our west during the afternoon hours. We'll watch this line zip through northern Ohio sometime during the late afternoon into the evening hours. Brief heavy rain and a few pockets of stronger wind could accompany any storms as they move through — and then, we're out of it. We'll go back to sunshine and cooler, pleasant temps on Friday with highs returning to the 70s. By the weekend we'll notice the large heat dome out in the western US begins to shift east. We'll have a seasonably warm day on Saturday with lots of sunshine. By Sunday you'll start to feel the heat with highs pushing into the upper 80s. Humidity will remain tolerable through the weekend but some sticky air will likely return to begin next week.
