UN agency condemns N. Korea's repeated unannounced missile launches

IMO, 사전통보 없는 北 미사일 발사 공개 규탄 The International Maritime Organization has slammed North Korea for its repeated unannounced missile launches. The remarks by the IMO's Maritime Security Committee are expected to be formally adopted in a statement on Friday. The UN organization said North Korea, itself an IMO member state,... did not fulfill its obligation of making a pre-notice of its missile launches for the safety of ships sailing in nearby waters. It noted that North Korea has fired 37 missiles this year alone. The London-based IMO also blasted Pyongyang for jamming GPS signals in its operations. This is the first time the agency has openly adopted a statement of condemnation.
