Total War: SHOGUN 2 Hero Duel: Tokitaka’s Tanegashima vs Katana Hero Clan: Takeda vs Oda Battle Difficulty: normal *Tokitaka’s Tanegashima: Rapid Volley ON. Tokitaka's Tanegashima are hero matchlock units in Total War: Shogun 2. Despite the small number of men in the regiment, the good reloading and superb accuracy they possess make up for this and they have high kill rates. They also have a longer range than other matchlock units, allowing them to pick off most foes without fear of retaliation. As hero units, their melee statistics are highly respectable despite their status as matchlock infantry. However, they are hampered in melee fighting by their small number of men, and are liable to get surrounded. Finally, their small number of men make them vulnerable to attacks that ignore armor, such as fire from other matchlock infantry. When trained by the Date Clan, Tokitaka’s Tanegashima have +2 charge bonus. Like other hero units, Katana Heroes are limited to one regiment, and have a scant number of men. They make up for this with superlatively good statistics, boasting superb attack, defense, charge, and morale. Their morale of 40 means that they often fight to the last man, should the need arise. Their armor is a cut above that of Katana Samurai, making bow fire less effective against them. However, their limited numbers make them vulnerable to armor-piercing matchlocks, and their status as katana infantry makes them vulnerable to cavalry despite their superior attributes. Shimazu Katana Heroes have +3 melee attack, +2 melee defense, and +2 charge bonus when compared to their standard counterparts. They are also cheaper to train and maintain (at 1,500/200 respectively rather than the standard 1,600/250). When trained by the Date Clan, Katana Heroes have +2 charge bonus. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ My Discord channel: / discord #TotalWar1vs1 #TotalWar #Shogun2
