Gun salute fired from Edinburgh Castle as King Charles arrives in city

There was a 21 gun salute from Edinburgh Castle as King Charles arrived in city today, September 12. His Majesty ascended to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday. King Charles III was proclaimed as head of state in other Commonwealth countries such as Wales, Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
