Fresh recruits marching away STORYLINE: The Commander of a North Alliance battalion says he is recruiting fresh soldiers every day to fight the forces of the ruling Taliban. Commander Zolmal oversees the 83rd Battalion in Khodjagar, and says he puts his men through rigorous training. The Northern Alliance were also training pilots to fly their Mil Mi-24 'Hind' helicopter, which they say will add further power to an airforce which they claim also includes a Mig-21 fighter plane based in Tajikistan.
