Pain in cancer patients comes from many reasons. The commonest reason is the compression of any of the passing nerve through the tumor. So the very important pain management could be blocking the nerves blocking the particular tumor because this could help a lot especially by doing CT guided particular blockage of the nerve or a ganglion which is supplying to this partiauclr tumor. Second cause of pain could also be breakage of the tumor, infiltration of a partiauclr area, bleeding from the tumor in those areas. Sometimes radiotherapy is known to help pain in those areas because the tumour spreads onto the bone and the bone and the bone pain is so high, just radiotherapy can help to improve the pain. Third type of pain can be a diffused peripheral pain that cannot be controlled by not just these methods, then we need a definitive pattern of medication which are medication to an extent of taking fortwain. Initially we can start managing thee patients with pain management medications like simple diclofenac, tramadols and further we can upgrade with fortwain, fortwain patches. If that is not enough sufficient, then even we may have to go upto morphine in the terminal stages of these patients.
