The pistol squat is an effective tool to have in the leg exercise bag of tricks. This exercise can also be extremely challenging if you lack flexibility, ankle mobility and leg strength. In this tutorial I go over 5 different variations that suit all different fitness levels. The best advice I can give you is to start with level 1 and progress as you see fit. As always keep your form tight. Your whole foot needs to maintain being flat to the ground. Patience, persistence and consistency is king.
