CM Biren Singh Resignation: On June 30, amid speculation that Manipur CM N Biren Singh could resign, hundreds of women gathered near his residence in Imphal and formed a human chain, saying that they did not want him to resign. Men wearing black T-shirts, which are associated with the radical Meitei group Arambai Tenggol, were also seen arriving at the location.
