Gathering Women Stop CM Biren Singh from Resigning; Snatch Away the Resignation Letter and Tear It Into Pieces Thousands of Meitei mothers and sisters took to streets and stopped CM N. Biren Singh from resigning right at the northern gate of CM Bunglow near Sanjenthong on Friday evening. The women snatched away the CM's resignation letter and tore it apart. As the news spread that the CM would submit his resignation to the Governor of the Manipur, thousands of women from all parts of the valley gathered in between Raj Bhavan and CM Bungalow from early morning till late afternoon when they snatched away the resignation ketter and tore it apart.
