What Trey Lance needs to CLEAN up to LOCK up QB1 – Kurt Warner Rookie QB NFL Preseason Analysis Pt 2

Back here for Trey Lance part two. We saw a bunch of good stuff in tape number one. His ability to process information, start working through things mentally, the physical side of things when he got on the move he made a bunch of plays when he was in space. Lots to like. Now today we are going to take a look at some of the things that he needs to clean up if he wants to take that step, I believe to become the starter of the 49ers. But really to take that step as a quality starter. Still a young guy. Got a lot of room to grow. But there are a lot of things to be excited about as well. You'll see why I think Trey Lance isn’t quite ready to become the starter. No doubt, he is talented enough to put a package in for him to be a guy that can help the 49ers this year. But there are just too many technique issues, too many things that he’s missing in the preseason games. He seems to be going too fast. You see a lot of those quick double clutches because he is not quite sure what to do with the football. And it leads to the inaccuracy down the field and missing some easy throws. A lot to like and we saw that. But Still a lot to work on. Thus, I believe Jimmy Garoppolo will be the starting quarterback for the 49ers heading into the season. They will have a package for Trey Lance and we will see if he can make some progress in those areas. And possibly take over that starting role at the end of the year. #49ers #TreyLance #NFL
