Friday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Heavy rain today, snow chances this weekend

Get ready for another Cleveland weather roller coaster ride... It all starts today as heavy rain moves through Northeast Ohio as remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole impact the region. The rainy conditions will continue for most of the day. “It will go through the afternoon. It will go into the evening – football games included, especially the beginning of those games," explains 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano. The rain will clear out into the overnight hours. But then... Much colder air arrives by Saturday, which also means we're tracking some scattered afternoon snow chances that continue into Sunday as well. “Not a huge snow event, but we’re going to be wintry," Strano says. The cold temperatures continue into next week with more chances for snow. Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast. TODAY: Widespread rain (heavy at times). Around 60. SATURDAY: Much colder.
