When her husband Cemal is arrested in Romania, Emine is left completely alone with her child who urgently needs surgery. She finds a job in a textile workshop and starts working there. There, she encounters Ziya, Cemal’s former employer. Ziya cannot remain indifferent to the struggles faced by this woman who had caught his attention in the past. Months later, Cemal returns. But a hospital bill that falls into his hands reveals that the surgery was paid for by Ziya, and that Emine kept this from him. Cemal, who already feels anger and jealousy toward Ziya — will he be able to face this truth, or will he ignore everything? Director’s Note What makes a human being human is not only what they show, but also what they hide. Reason and irrationality, morality and desires, motives and coincidences — these are the roots of both goodness and evil in a person. But the deepest pain a human experiences is hidden in their nature, which is impossible to comprehend. In my cinema, the fundamental issue is trying to live with this nature to which a person is hopelessly bound, trying to understand life through it, and questioning it.
