Elvis Presley - Fun In Acapulco - Movie opening credits version re-edited with RCA/Sony audio

Chronologically Elvis' fourteenth movie and the second of 1963 was the Paramount release "Fun In Acapulco" which although sticking somewhat to the now established formula at least tried something different. The film being set in Mexico at least gave the songwriters a chance to add some latin flavour to the soundtrack and this was achieved with varying degrees of success. The material from the 'Fun In Acapulco' could never be called 'top drawer' with the obvious exception of 'Bossanova Baby', but there are still some nice tracks in there especially if you like the movie itself. The title track was recorded in a single take at Radio Recorders' studio B on 23 January 1963, the second of two successive days of soundtrack sessions for the movie. In March 2019, Follow That Dream, the RCA/Sony Elvis collectors label, released the definitive collection of these sessions all completely remastered and remixed from scratch giving the best possible sound. It is from this collection that the audio in this video is sourced. As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
