“Saturday Talk Show,” the friendly Saturday talk concert 02. 판소리 '천자뒤풀이 판소리는 서사적이고 극적으로 구성된 긴 이야기를 가락과 장단에 얹어 부르는 1인 극음악이다. 춘향가는 성춘향과 이몽룡의 사랑이야기를 소재로 한 곡이다. 그 중 ‘천자뒤풀이’는 이몽룡이 춘향과 만나기로 약속한 밤중까지 지루한 시간을 보내기 위해 천자문을 읽는 대목이다. 천자문의 뜻을 풀어서 읽기는 하되 엉뚱하게 풀어 읽는다는 뜻이다. ‘뒤풀이’는 정식 풀이가 아닌 딴 풀이를 말하는데, 일종의 언어유희요, 지적 유희이자 점잖은 재담 소리이다. 이몽룡이 춘향 생각에 『시경(詩經)』 같은 어려운 책이 머리에 들어오지 않자 『대학(大學)』•『맹자(孟子)』•『사략(史略)』처럼 점점 쉬운 책을 골라 독서성(讀書聲)으로 읽다가 급기야 방자에게 『천자문(千字文)』을 가져오라고 하는 대목이다. ♦ 소 리: 정회석, 고 수: 정준호 이야기 손님/김유범(고려대학교 교수) 사회자/박정숙(방송인) 02. Pansori, “Cheonja dwupuri” Pansori is a one-person drama music composed of a long epic and dramatic story accompanied with melody and rhythm. Chunhyangga is a song that contains the love story of Seong Chun-hyang and Lee Mong-ryong. “Cheonja dwipuri” is the passage where Lee Mong-ryong reads the Thousand Character Classic to pass the boring time until his meeting with Chun-hyang at night. The title means to recite the meanings of the Thousand Character Classic, but in a whimsical way. “Dwipuri” means a different meaning rather than the original meaning of the Chinese characters. It is a kind of pun, intellectual amusement, and a gentle wordplay. This is the passage where Lee Mong-ryong is reading difficult books such as 『Sigyeong (one of the Five Books of Confucianism)』 but can’t understand it because his head is filled with the thoughts of Chun-hyang. So, he gradually reads less sophisticated books such as 『Daehak (one of the Nine Chinese Classics)』•『Confucius』•『Saryak (concise history)』.
