Every ethnic group has at least one language and there are more than 6,000 languages in the world. But, writing systems are a different story. Countries with their own unique writing system amount to only 20 or so in the entire world, and among them, Hangul is without a doubt one of the best writing systems in the world. As if to prove this point, prominent linguists around the world have highly praised the superiority of Hangul for its unique and scientific qualities. English linguist Samson suggested that Hangul alphabet should be classified separately because it is the worlds most scientific and superior system among countless other systems, and Dutch Linguist Vos also asserted Hangul is the best alphabet system in the world. Professor McCawley, a well known figure in the American linguistic community, is known to invite his colleagues on October 9th each year to celebrate the Hangul Day.
