Traditionally the Bajo people are sea gypsies living on their boats and sailing around in the Coral Triangle. Previously, the Bajo was fishing as underwater hunter where he dives deep and long into the sea hunting with homemade goggles and harpoon. A skilled Bajo hunter could swim down to 15 - 20 m depth and be down there for several minutes. Today it is becoming a rare sight - and only a few master the old traditional fishing methods. Besides the traditional fishing methods some people also use other methods to catch fish. Dynamite fishing is illegal and the scale of dynamite fishing is declining, but it still takes place in many places.
