Wide shot of Canadian convoy and smoke rising from vehicle STORYLINE: A suicide bomber on a motorbike attacked a Canadian military convoy in the Afghan city of Kandahar on Tuesday, but no troops were injured, a spokesman for the NATO-led force said. Aminullah Khan witnessed the attack. "A suicide bomber who was riding a motorbike blew himself up near the convoy of foreign forces. I don't know about the causalities, but we can see one of their vehicles is still on fire," he said. Fire fighters could be seen dousing the flames with water, as the remainder of the military convoy looked on. Unexpected resurgence of the Taliban has triggered an escalation of violence in southern Afghanistan over the past few months. NATO troops that took command of the southern provinces two months ago have been struggling to stem the violence.
