God of War Ragnarok - Forest Ancient boss battle

This God of War Ragnarok game guide video shows how to defeat the Forest Ancient mini-boss. The first encounter with an Ancient takes place during The Reckoning main quest and you'll find this creature while exploring Vanaheim. Forest Ancient fires projectiles from its core and you can avoid them by finding cover. The best tactic however is to hit the exposed core before the boss has a chance to launch their attack - throw an axe at the core. Projectiles will land on the ground - pick them up and throw them back at the Forest Ancient. This can lead to stunning the monster and once that happens quickly approach it to press R3. Running Legion enemies will appear later in the fight. Don't ignore them and try to kill them with ranged attacks. Allowing them to get close may result in them jumping on Kratos (mash the X button).
