A man died from a shooting in downtown Spokane Sunday morning

SPOKANE, Wash.— A fatal shooting took place in downtown Spokane Sunday morning. The Spokane Police Department responded to the scene of the shooting at around 8:30 a.m. The shooting took place near Pacific Avenue and Browne Street. One man died, and another adult was shot and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The SPD Major Crime Unit indicate in initial information that an altercation took place prior to the shooting. Detectives are following leads, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Medical Examiner's Office will release the name of the person who died at a later date.
