SPD: Suspect in downtown Spokane shooting linked to another earlier shooting

Spokane Police have connected a man who was arrested in a shooting on Wednesday to a separate shooting that happened earlier that day. Spokane Police say they developed probable cause to arrest 19-year-old Abraham Evaristo-Valderas in the shooting of two people on Colton Street in northeast Spokane early Wednesday morning. One man died from the shooting, and another was injured. Police also believe Evaristo-Valderas is responsible for a shooting later that evening outside Catholic Charities' House of Charity in downtown Spokane. One person was seriously injured in that shooting. Evaristo-Valderas was charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault for the first shooting, and first-degree assault for the second shooting. Evaristo-Valderas is currently being held in Spokane County Jail on a $1 million bond. The investigation into both shootings is ongoing. ►Subscribe:    / 4newsnow   ►Website: http://www.kxly.com ►Twitter:   / kxly4news   ►Facebook:   / kxly4news
