This is a relatively short film today as I felt a compulsion to react quickly to the footage I captured yesterday (17th Jan 2022) on a flight over Aberaeron on the Ceredigion coast. I took my flight later in the afternoon on a beautiful sunny day as I wanted both the sun setting and the 'wolf' moon rising on the same footage. My earlier footage taken in the sunshine will come out on a later video but as the January 17th full moon coincided with a rare clear and bright spell , it was too good to miss the flying opportunity. So a little over 24 hours later I have a new video ready, just a short compared to my others but for me it was a challenge to see if I could complete a full production and post it from scratch. I will speak more of the iconic seaside resort of Aberaeron on the video with the daytime footage later. For today the calm and still of winter means the towns streets are mostly devoid of the usual tourist multitudes. Also in this part of the world there are still restrictions in place in hospitality venues, most of which are closed for the season. There are those that live in the town and teatime is also dog walking time . The flight very nearly ended catastrophically as 'Buzby' my drone had somehow inputted the wrong return to home point. It was landing in the wrong place, I only just caught sight of it as it nearly landed on someone's roof! I just managed to regain control thankfully inches from the roof. The drone is less than 250 grams ~ a pack of butter. It almost certainly wouldn't have damaged the roof but it may have either been stuck on the roof or it would have fallen two stories to the ground and that would have probably written it off! Good job I got insurance!! Anyway all's well that ends well! I got the drone back safely no harm done and when later I played back the footage I knew I had to act on the 'wolf moon' stuff, so here you are! Music: Also made this evening to the edited footage. Its an idea that I had in a loop until now but thought I would spread it over the shortened footage. This song I have named perhaps unsurprisingly "Woolf Moon Over Aberaeron" I fully intend this to be worked on further as are many of my compositions found on these video. They will eventually be released on an album, more news on that later. If you have any comments, please leave them below and help my channel by clicking the 'Like' button or better still 'Subscribe'.
