Welcome to Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, a stunning grassland paradise where the winds sweep across open plains and wildlife roams freely 🦌🌾. Just a few hours away from Pune, this lesser-known sanctuary is one of Maharashtra’s true gems for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and wildlife enthusiasts. This trip was extra special because it wasn’t just about exploring—it was also part of my course study. We set out to learn about the importance of grasslands, their delicate role in maintaining ecosystems, and carried out a vegetation analysis to understand how life thrives here. Grasslands may look simple, but they support incredible biodiversity and serve as the backbone for many species that depend on them for survival. As we explored, graceful Chinkaras leapt through the meadows, while the shy Indian Fox and elusive Striped Hyena reminded us just how alive this landscape really is. Every turn felt like nature unveiling a secret. And if you’re into birdwatching, this place is pure magic! From soaring raptors to tiny migratory visitors, the skies and grasslands are full of life, making Mayureshwar one of the best spots for bird photography and observation in Maharashtra which is the part of the western ghats of India. Peaceful, wild, and full of surprises, this sanctuary is perfect for anyone who loves to connect with nature. Whether you’re a photographer, a wildlife enthusiast, or just someone looking for a refreshing escape, Mayureshwar will leave you mesmerized. 📍 Location: Supe, Baramati (Maharashtra) 🗓 Best Time to Visit: October to March ⏳ Pro Tip: Early morning safaris or walks = the most magical wildlife encounters 🐾 My instagram handle https://www.instagram.com/de_flyer__?...
