N. Korean defectors meet in Brussels for first-ever global congress

세계탈북자총회' 첫 개최…"탈북자가 나서 '평양의 봄' 준비를" North Korean defectors resettled to countries around the world are meeting in Brussels for their first-ever global congress. The gathering, held Tuesday with 30 representatives in attendance, is the first time defector groups from South Korea, Asia, the U.S. and Europe have met, though they've each held events in their own countries of residence. They discussed the human rights abuses in North Korea, vowed to work toward the North's democratization... and denounced the regime's nuclear development. They also urged the international community to classify the Kim Jong-nam murder as an act of state-sponsored terrorism by North Korea... and called for a UN investigation.
