Angelina Jolie arrives for speech at UN

(15 Mar 2017) ANGELINA JOLIE ARRIVES FOR SPEECH AT UN UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie has arrived for her speech at the United Nations Wednesday (15 MAR. 2017). Jolie gave the annual lecture of the Sergio Vieira de Mello Foundation at the Assembly Hall at the Palais des Nations. The memorial lecture honors the thinking, philosophy and work of the late Brazilian United Nations diplomat, on his birth date, March 15. He was killed in the Canal Hotel Bombing in Iraq in 2003. The lectures focus on humanitarian themes and topical issues. Former speakers include President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Jolie's speech will be followed by a discussion with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, and a musical tribute to Sergio Vieira de Mello by renowned pianist and UNESCO Artist for Peace Elisso Bolkvadze.
