HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND BE HEALED - Pastor Paul Silway Healing isn’t a promise, it's a fact. We see a concept of hearing and then being healed. You cannot believe something, or have faith if you have not heard the truth about that subject. Even regarding salvation the Bible says that you cannot be saved unless you first hear the gospel. Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? Rom 10:17 Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. This scripture does not say that faith might come, it says it will come by hearing the Word of God. The Bible says in Luke 5:15, …great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. Notice in Luke 5:15 that the multitudes came to hear and be healed. Does hearing have anything to do with being healed? Emphatically, yes! A lot of people want to be healed, but they don't want to hear anything—and people like that seldom get anything from God. So if you want to be healed, hear! There are some who come to my healing meetings in Pune on Saturday and Tuesday in Pimpri for healing and blessing. But many seldom attend our Sunday church services. Why? Because they don't know that they need to HEAR first and they get healing. Many Christians attend late for the church services or come at the last moment before I pray for healing. Some even come to the church service not to hear the Word but to meet someone. How can they have faith if they don't hear the word of God? I give the revelation from the Bible and revelation knowledge gives more power to faith. Some don't attend the church service until they fall sick. Then they come running and after they receive healing attend for a few weeks and they are gone. They think they are going to a doctor where people only visit when they are sick, not when they are well. Why didn't more people in Nazareth, Jesus' hometown, get healed? Only a few sick people were healed of minor ailments, yet we know there were more sick people than that present. In Nazareth, the people were not healed because they wouldn't hear. One account of Jesus' ministry at Nazareth is found in Mark 6:5: "And he could do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick people with minor ailments and healed them." Notice that they did not bring the sick to Jesus until they first had knowledge of Jesus. How did they gain knowledge of Jesus? By seeing Him heal somebody? No, Jesus hadn't healed anyone yet in their country. They gained knowledge of Him by hearing. They heard something! God can heal through special manifestations of the Spirit. But when He doesn't initiate something, you can give people His Word. Remember to comment, like and share with your contacts.
