Music Chat: Massenet's Orchestral Works--In Praise of Fluff

Few composers today are held in lower repute than Jules Massenet, an artist of tremendous gifts who wrote reams of colorful, melodic, impeccably crafted music. His orchestral pieces, in particular, are almost totally ignored, and surely don't deserve their neglect.
