It is one of the most important financial centers in the world and has the fifth- or sixth-largest metropolitan area gross domestic product (GDP) in the world. London is also the cultural capital of the world. It has four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London, Kew Gardens, which includes the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, St. Margaret's Church, and the historic settlement of Greenwich. Other famous landmarks in London include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, and The Shard. I visited London in August 2021, just as Americans were allowed to return to the UK after the lockdown. During my 48-hour journey, I saw many of the city's sights on the London Underground, iconic black cabs, and double-decker buses. I also took a Thames River cruise, rode the London Heathrow Express, and experienced the awe-inspiring London Eye. As I walked through the city, I was struck by the renewed energy that Londoners and British locals were enjoying post-lockdown life. From the historic landmarks of Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, and Big Ben to the bustling streets of Chinatown, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, and Piccadilly Circus, there was a sense of excitement and optimism in the air. I also explored the beautiful parks of Green Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington and witnessed the excitement of the West End theater district and City Hall. I hope you will join me on this unforgettable visual journey through the heart of London and experience the magic of post-lockdown London. What began as a documentation of a subdued trip devoid of tourists quickly became a mesmerizing journey. A thrilling adventure through the bustling streets of London captivated me. ▶️ Some of the best places I have visited in London: 00:00 48 Hours in London 00:15 Paddington Station 00:35 Green Park 00:44 Buckingham Palace 00:48 Queen Victoria Memorial 01:13 House of Parliament 01:31 Westminster Abbey 01:37 Westminster Bridge 01:51 The Serpentine at Hyde Park 02:15 The Albert Memorial 02:29 South Kensington 02:50 Kensington High Street 03:33 Trafalgar Square 03:39 London Eye 04:15 Parliament on the River Thames 04:36 Tower Bridge 04:40 Tower of London 04:48 West End Theatre District 05:02 Leicester Square 05:26 China Town 06:00 London City Hall 06:17 The Shard and London Bridge Station 06:34 SOHO 07:05 Piccadilly Circus ▶️ This video is dedicated to my late Uncle Arnold Kanarak, who loved jazz and a good joke.
