Day 32 : The day I finished the Trans America Trail Yes, this day has finally arrived 🙂 I thought I would finish yesterday but the trail had one more surprise to throw at me 5 miles before the end of the section. So I backtracked one last time to arrive in Big Water (Utah). This is where I started the Trans America Trail last year going east. I am very happy to have completed the TAT. It has been a challenge for sure but more than that: an amazing adventure ! Crossing the USA on trails/back roads is simply amazing. You are blown away every single day by the beauty, the diversity and the vastness of the country. And of course the people you meet along the way. All with their own stories and always ready to help and support you. So I finished the day quietly in the Coconino National Forest in Arizona at a cold 8,500 ft. It seems like I cannot get enough of the wilderness 😉 I will now drive back to North Carolina to conclude this epic Threep. For sure, the next few days will not be as exiting as the past few weeks .... well .... perhaps I should not say that ... one thing I have learned for sure during my Threep is to always expect the unexpected. So let see what happens. To be continued...
