Joe Rogan Tested Positive For Covid

After returning from a series of events in Florida, where the coronavirus is common, Joe Rogan, the host of the highly popular podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience," stated on Wednesday that he had tested positive for the virus. Mr. Rogan, who was criticized by federal regulators this spring for arguing on his podcast that young, healthy individuals do not need to get Covid shots, said he became ill on Saturday night after returning from shows in Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Lauderdale. He was feeling sick the whole night and got tested the next morning that came back positive, he said. Mr. Rogan said he was given a variety of drugs, including ivermectin, a deworming veterinary treatment that the FDA has recommended Covid-19 patients against taking and that has been repeatedly shown in clinical trials to be useless for them. Prednisone, a steroid, and a "vitamin drip" were also mentioned. He said that “Sunday sucked,” but that by Wednesday, the day he posted the video, he was feeling “pretty good.” “A wonderful heartfelt thank you to modern medicine for pulling me out of this so quickly and easily,” he said. Mr. Rogan's "Joe Rogan: The Sacred Clown Tour" was taking him across the country. He was supposed to play a gig in Nashville, Tenn., with comic Dave Chappelle on Friday, but he announced in a video on Wednesday that it would be moved until October.
