Minute of silence at Brussels airport to mark second anniversary of attack

(22 Mar 2018) Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel and other dignitaries marked the second anniversary of suicide attacks in Brussels on Thursday, laying flowers at the city's Zavantem Airport. Thirty two people died and more than 300 people were wounded in attacks on March 22, 2016 at the airport and at Maelbeek metro station in the Belgian capital. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attacks. Airport and airline workers laid flowers at a memorial inside the airport on Thursday and observed a minute of silence.
