(22 Mar 2017) A minute of silence was held on Wednesday at at the Brussels subway station to remember the victims of the last year's bomb attack. The country's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde joined Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel for the commemoration at the Maelbeek subway station where 16 people were killed. Belgian leaders and families of those who died in the March 22 suicide bomb attacks on the Brussels airport and subway marked Wednesday the first anniversary of the assaults which killed 32 people. More than 300 people were wounded in the attacks, claimed by the Islamic State group, but around 900 people now number themselves among the victims to have suffered physical or mental trauma.
