Young people queue outside Greenwich pharmacy for Covid vaccine

It came as the capital’s top doctor urged people over 40 to take advantage of new rules allowing them to bring forward their second jab from 12 weeks to eight weeks after their first dose. The Evening Standard found about 200 people were queueing outside a pharmacy in North Greenwich on Thursday morning – even before it opened its doors - after Greenwich council said first doses of the Pfizer jab would be available without the need for an appointment, NHS number or immigration status. On Wednesday, a walk-in clinic in nearby Deptford had to close early after running out of doses due to massive demand.
